These days we find it difficult to find the time for most things in life, but when it comes to social media, we find time.
Gone are the days where you had the time to sit back on the couch and quietly read your newspaper. The world now revolves around screens and if you’re not moving with it, you’ll probably get left behind.
Here’s some tips to help your maximize your user experience to help grow your Instagram account into an asset and business tool.
Instagram offers very little space for users to place a profile picture. This is the first thing your visitors will see, so use that space wisely. Try to keep the image as clear as possible, and avoid using a cropped section of your favorite photo if you’ll be the only one who knows what they’re looking at. This is a great place for businesses to put up a logo, or for users to say something about their page visually.
This is all about you… who are you and what are you about? If I’m visiting your page, what do I need to know about it? If you’re running a business of any kind, don’t waste this space, don’t be afraid to throw your website up or let your followers know what your company stands for
It doesn’t matter kind of page your running or what your motivation, quality converts to followers. We don’t all have a professional photographer on hand but that doesn’t mean we can’t pick and choose what we post. Your content should always be in line with the style of your page and should never be cut off by the square image format which Instagram imposes. If you have a great photo which is landscape or portrait, consider cutting the photo up into sections and posting the whole photo is sections to make 1 large image across 6 or 9 squares!
When users come across your account, you want them to click the ‘follow’ button if your going to get ahead. Now put yourself in their shoes, would you follow a page that had 3 photos and doesn’t look like it’s been active for 6 months? If you want Instagram growth, you need to let them know you’re still there..
Research your hashtags
Tags can be attached to any post you make and open up doors for users to find your photo when they never would have otherwise. Think about how the hashtags relate to your post, and do some research on how popular the tags are. The more popular, the better! You can use the search tool to look up popularity of keywords to give yourself an edge.
Reply to comments
It may be difficult to reply to every comment you get on a post, but try to comment enough that your audience doesn’t feel like they’re talking to themselves. People liked to be acknowledged, and often a reply to a comment may be the difference between a follower staying loyal or losing interest.
Like any other social media outlet, there’s always going to be some restrictions on how much you can do. However, by following these simple guidelines, you really can grow your Instagram account fast by maximizing the user experience!
